Credit

Financially you should make sure that you are prepared, and one of the most important aspects of being financially prepared is your credit score. Motorcycles range in price, but you do not want to end up paying more for your bike because of a high interest rate. The dealership that you buy your motorcycle from is going to check your credit, and they will then decide what type of interest rate to give you. If you have a good credit score, the odds are that you will get a very good interest rate. However, if you have a low credit score, you could end up paying way to much for your motorcycle. The minute you decide that you want to get a motorcycle make sure that you look at your credit, and if you find it is bad then get to work on fixing it. 

Train

You would never jump into a plane or a helicopter and try to fly. Neither should you jump on a motorcycle and start cruising down the highway. If you do not have very much experience with motorcycles it is very important that you learn the basics of riding before you buy a motorcycle. Most good dealerships will offer training classes where they will go over motorcycle safety, and teach you the basics that you will need to have an enjoyable ride. The class will normally cost yes, however if you buy the bike from the dealership usually the class fee will go toward your bike. 

Protect Yourself

When you ride make sure that you are smart and wear a helmet and leathers. Wearing a helmet and leathers just increases the likelihood that you will be protected in the event of an accident. Usually wearing a helmet and leathers is not a problem because that does add to the experience of riding a motorcycle, but be sure that you are protected each time that you ride whether it be during your training, just down the street, or across the country.
